ICOM’s programmes are CUSTOMISED to the needs of the countries they work in and TAILORED to meet the challenges of their wealth creating and public sector organisations.

The programmes are vocational and practical and focus on improving organisational performance and developing leadership particularly in the area of defining and IMPLEMENTING business strategies.  The faculty’s 20 years of running leadership programmes in 65 organisations world-wide suggests that, while new ideas and knowledge are important, the critical problems in organisational life are to do with the lack of competence and commitment in EXECUTING these ideas.

Our ACTION LEARNING approach focuses on defining strategy, translating it into operational activities, communicating the strategy, measuring performance against the strategy and ensuring learning takes place from the experiences of taking action to improve organisational and individual effectiveness.

The faculty of ICOM have all had front-line management experience of running complex organisations, of teaching in institutions throughout the world and in delivering major change programmes.

Faculty of ICOM have conducted action learning programmes in organisations in major multi-national corporations such as Shell and Cummins Engine Company, to small organisations such as a retail company and a government ministry in Barbados.

Many of these programmes have led to diploma, MBA, MSc and Doctoral qualifications awarded by the Universities of Oxford (UODLE), Cambridge (UCLES), London and Bradford.
