Every programme has a dedicated Programme Director who is the architect of the learning process and who supports each student in understanding the core material and the customised workshops, to develop personal competencies and how to improve organisational performances. The Programme Director will also give individual TUTORIALS.

STUDY MATERIALS

When you first register, we will provide you with a comprehensive range of materials, in print and via the WWLC website. This will include;

A handbook giving you information on planning your studies and preparing for the examinations.

The programme regulations.

A booklet of tutor-marked assignments.

For each course you study we will provide;

A study guide, written by subject specialists, containing the core content for the courses and case studies.

A reader containing copies of articles and book chapters which have been specially selected from leading academic journals and books, either because they are considered classics or because they present the most recent developments in the field.

Materials on each client’s business covering the latest issues in their sectors.

Core textbooks.

Past examination papers, where a course has previously been examined, and, for some papers, examiners’ reports.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT

In addition to the Programme Director, you will be supported by;

A tutor for each of the core courses, who will mark your assignments and give you feedback.

An individual tutor for your MBA/MSc dissertation.

Royal Holloway has established a World Wide Learning Community (WWLC) on the Web, where tutors respond to enquiries and students can meet and exchange ideas.

ASSESSMENT

As you progress you will be examined by the University and ICOM and you will earn your MBA/MSc through hard work, intellectual endeavour and by reaching the high standard demanded in your examinations, assignments and projects.

Each of the core courses, except for the research course, is assessed by one three-hour, unseen, written examination and an assignment. The projects and the PDP are examined by viva and the dissertation will consist of a 12,000 word report.
