ICOM’s approach to accrediting its programme is two fold:

We have created Masters Programmes in International Business.  These generic MBA and MSc programmes are based on the Royal Holloway University of London masters programmes.  ICOM will customise these programmes to the needs of its clients, in particular countries, by putting an action learning envelope around the basic programmes as described below.  That is, we are offering masters programmes to middle and senior managers, which focus on understanding global trade and investment issues and applying the learning to improve the performance of organisations in both private and public sectors.

Faculty of ICOM have designed and delivered 11 in-company, action learning MBA programmes for organisations such as Shell, National Power, Cummins, Singapore Telecom and Almond Resorts in Barbados.

The majority of ICOM’s programmes will be offered to managers at senior, middle and “junior” levels, in all sectors of national economies.  In these programmes the prime objectives will be to improve the managerial and leadership performance of participants and of their organisations.  However, many clients want the programme to result in an “academic” qualification.  Where the programmes lasts for 12 months, this can be a Certificate or Diploma in Management customised to the client’s “industry” (e.g. Diploma in Port Management).

Faculty of ICOM have designed and delivered programmes such as these in the following sectors:

Telecoms, electricity, ports, water, construction, hospitality, tourism, oil, ship-building, aerospace, mechanical engineering, retailing, health-care, police, civil services and local government.  Many of these programmes have been accredited by the Universities of Oxford (UODLE), Cambridge (UCLES), London and Bradford.  Programmes in banking, waste and airport management are also being offered.
